African American Festival

The Major Taylor Association was featured Saturday during the three-day African American Festival presented by the Willis Center Cultural Institute. This year's festival at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Mass., featured a Friday evening gala with great food, live music and dancing; a full weekend of workshops, lectures, seminars and demonstrations on various African American topics, including a panel discussion about the Diaspora; family and youth activities, performers, vendors and exhibits on Saturday; and on Sunday, "A Joyful Noise!" music and dance performances.
