Major Taylor Victory Ride
Whistler Woods Forest Preserve
735 W. 134th St.
Riverdale, Ill.

The community celebrated artist Bernard Williams' transformation of a bridge over the Little Calumet River and the 10th anniversary season of our Associated Club in Chicago. A great-granddaughter and great-great-grandson of Major Taylor did the honors at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Major Taylor mural on the Major Taylor Trail in Riverdale, and then Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago led a bike ride to Major Taylor's gravesite in Glenwood. Learn more about the mural from CNIP Chicago (Community & Neighborhood Improvement Project) and the Metropolitan Planning Council.

Update (July 2020): CNIP Chicago is now Major Taylor Trail Keepers.
